What can you find in the ORANGE ADDRESSES?
As in the GREEN ADDRESSES (GRÜNE ADRESSEN - Bundesweite Selbsthilfevereinigungen und relevante Institutionen), you can use the ORANGE ADDRESSES to find contact information for associations and institutions that work in specific areas.

The organizations are either National (self-help) associations that work together at a European level or National associations that serve as a contact for other associations concerning issues of cooperation at an European level.

How is the database organized?
The database is organized according to main areas that cover a wide variety of very specific topics. There are key topics, synonyms and subtopics that serve as points of reference.

As in the GREEN ADDRESSES, the ORANGE ADDRESSES contain descriptions of the work and objectives of the associations / institutions, references to the services that they offer and the publications that they produce. This supplementary information will be included at a later date.

Criteria for listings in the ORANGE ADDRESSES
The following criteria have been established by NAKOS for inclusion in the database:

The organizations must provide services for interested persons, self-help groups and institutions on the topics that they have listed.

They are either a group of national self-help associations working at a European level or a national association in Germany or in another European country that acts as a contact for other associations concerning issues of cooperation at a European level.

Their work must be independent on one's own responsibility.

The objectives of the work must be in line with ethical, moral and legal norms.

Their work must be non-profit and have no commercial objectives. This does not imply, however, that the services offered by the associations / institutions listed in the database are free of charge.

Inclusion in the list is not an indication of the quality of the work done by the association / institution.
